Further to the announcements made on 9 January 2009, 12 January 2009 and 14 January 2009, the Board of Directors of SCAN (“Board”) wishes to announce that the Company had on 22 January 2009 appointed Abu Bakar Rajudin & Co. as an independent auditor mainly to conduct an investigative audit relating to the possible financial impact of the misappropriation of funds (as announced on 14 January 2009) to the SCAN Group.
The Board will keep shareholders updated on the outcome of the audit investigation.
